School Council
Meet our School Council
At the GPP federation we feel it is important to listen to our pupils and we value their opinions. Our school council meet regularly to discuss pupils’ thoughts and opinions and play an active role in decision making.
We believe that everyone’s voice should be heard; school council representatives for each class ensure that everyone has the opportunity to have their say in decisions that are being made, often resulting in a democratic vote, and offer their ideas for moving forward.
Our meetings are an excellent way to foster leadership and responsibility in children. They provide a platform for young voices to be heard and contribute to the development of the school community.
Our most recent work has been on gaining pupil voice about our school reward system. Children in classes voted on the rewards they would like, for the winning house, each half-term.
